Intensive Outpatient Programs

Opiates

Did you know that the United States is currently in the middle of an opioid overdose epidemic?

There are more than 200,000 cases of opioid overdose per year, making opiate addiction a leading cause of death in the United States. At Comfort Recovery we work hard to do our part in decreasing this number and helping people receive the care they need before it is too late. Our opiate addiction intensive outpatient programs are made to assist individuals with opiate addiction and other mental health issues so that they can develop a strong recovery and begin their path to living a happy, healthy and productive life.

The duration of our opiate addiction intensive outpatient programs can range from from as little as 30 days to as long as 6 months. Depending on the severity of your opiate addiction is the amount of time you will spend with us. If you or your loved one has a less severe addiction, minimal or no co-occurring mental health conditions, and a stable, safe support structure at home, then our opiate addiction intensive outpatient programs are the right choice for you.

Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) is a form of opiate addiction treatment in which patients are able to visit our treatment center several days a week for a few hours at a time. This form of treatment still allows our patients to continue to live at home, attend school or work, and lead a normal life. Our intensive outpatient programs are more time-intensive than other standard outpatient programs, but they give our patients the time and resources they need to heal from their opiate addiction. Our opiate addiction intensive outpatient programs focus a lot on group therapy. This is because group settings help in allowing you to improve your communication, give and receive support from peers, experience structure, and perhaps most importantly, learn how to socialize without the dependency of your opiate addiction

The only way to get help for  a highly addicted person is to get them into a facility that will care for them and monitor them until they are safe to do so themselves. The scary thing about opioids is that overdosing can be life-threatening and requires immediate emergency care. If you or someone you know is suffering from opiate addiction, Comfort Recovery’s opiate addiction intensive outpatient programs can give you the help and support you need to not only fully recover, but go on to live a fulfilling life.
